Beginners
White to White-Yellow Sash Requirements
The requirements for the white & white-yellow Sash are the only ones that will remain the same throughout the year, because each student should learn the same basics before continuing onto the more challenging forms and techniques.
After you acquire your white sash, you will learn the requirements for your white-yellow sash during the beginners class.
The intermediate section is split into two
parts, Phase I, and Phase II. Green sash through blue-purple sash is considered
Phase I.
These requirements demand more attention and practice time,
therefore students will be testing every four months, instead of three.
The links below show what Intermediate Phase 1 students will be learning for each four month rotation.
The training for the next three sashes (white-yellow, yellow, and yellow green) will rotate every three months. There are three different styles that beginners will have to learn before they continue to intermediate level. Each cycle's requirements are listed below for their first year.
After they've acquired their black sash,
the students training does not stop. Students will be required to learn advanced
traditional, and contemporary requirements, advance weapons training such
as pu dao, kwan dao, rope dart, etc, and advanced theories on sparring, breaking
and all aspects of Chinese Martial Arts. The students will also be required
to clean and continue to work on their existing forms and requirements.
After the Black Sash level, there is 2nd, 3rd, 4th degrees and years and years of learning.
